"Jordan Is A Movie-Buff"...

Dear Blog,

I've been so busy and not feeling the healthiest so I haven't written. I've been on antibiotics for a couple of days now so hopefully the crud will be gone soon. My Jordan kid is here with me for a few days this week. His school has an entire week off for teacher conferences and such. So he's here visiting and bugging his old Grammy. I sometimes forget how much and how often growing boys eat and drink. I also forget how loud cartoons on TV are. I remember very quickly when they come. Both Jordan and Henry are grazers which means the eating never truly ends. Both boys were here for a few hours yesterday and not too much fighting...then Henry went off with Uncle for a couple of days and then we trade off. Henry has the week off also. I wonder what those teachers really do that week. I envision them dancing in the halls, eating at their desks, chewing gum and blowing bubbles, smoking cigarettes and listening to rock and roll. Perhaps some of the older teachers take long naps in the teachers lounges. That one would be me. (S)

Looks like a gray nippy day here today. We've been really lucky this fall with lots of warm sunny days. One could almost forget what is ahead for us if we hadn't lived in this icebox state for so many long cold winters.  When I was a kid I could barely contain myself waiting for the snow to come and it was ever so much fun to go ice skating and even sliding on the rode in winter boots was a hoot. Now I would love to be sitting in a beach side home on some lovely warm island watching the TV news to see how much snow was being dumped thousands of miles from me.

I should've held out for a rich man.  LOL

I love the fact the the average citizen is finally coming out in groups all around the country for peaceful sit-ins. We may finally be heard and taken seriously. I understand that many European countries are following suit only with violence. People will be heard one way or another. I don't advocate violence but I also know that people in this country are likely to come to that point too if the peaceful sit-ins do no good. Maybe they should move their sit-ins to the gated communities and yards of the very rich. We're tired of the rich keeping and hoarding all of the goodies. I guess maybe someone has been reading my blog after all...even though for the past year or so I have tried to keep quiet about my political standing.

I'm waiting to see how all of this unfolds and I would not want to be one of the super rich or even a politician right now. The anger, blame and hate is pointed directly at them.

These Republican debates are making them (the politicians) look mighty bad and stupid. It is not helping their cause. They go after each other like rabid dogs and then expect us to trust them when they don't even trust or honor each other.

I was in near shock when I heard that the state of Florida is calling for drug testing on people who receive state aid. When did we OPENLY become Russia? I cannot believe the people in Florida are putting up with it...well, except for that most of Florida is rich and the rich don't want the poor to have anything...not even the little amount that the welfare people typically get.

As if there isn't enough crap going on here on earth we now must worry about what if falling out of space. I think people must have a death wish otherwise how could so many stupid ideas come to fruit?

I was sad to hear that "Dancing With the Stars" eliminated Carson Kressley last night. I loved the humor and energy that he brought to the program. I want Nancy Grace to win...not only because I love her but I also think she has proved to be a very good dancer and she has managed to make chubby look sexy. I think that the two top contenders are Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez. Bye Carson...you did yourself proud. This is the first year that I have watched DWTS and I've enjoyed most of it. I wish they would eliminate poor Chaz Bono before he does serious damage to his knees. Been there done that.

Jordan is a walking movie dictionary...every other minute he asks me if I've seen this or that and then he shares them with me. Maybe he'll grow up to a film critic. And a chef and a car mechanic and about a zillion other things. Right now the whole world is full of possibilities for him. What a great age to be.

Time to scoot...J. wants his turn on the computer. I hope you are all well and having some happiness each day. If only little bits and pieces. Some is better then none.

I love the new day-time program on ABC called the CHEW. I try to see it everyday. It brings some joy to my day and I most always learn something new.

Bye Blog, JjB...
